COMMENT ON THE EDISON PRESS RELEASE OF 8 SEPTEMBER 2020 IN RELATION TO THE PENDINGNEGOTIATIONS WITH 2I RETE GAS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF IDG

In relation to the press release issued by Edison S.p.A. on 8 September 2020, 2i Rete Gas S.p.A. confirms that it has submitted an offer and that exclusive negotiations are underway with Edison S.p.A. for the realization of a possible purchase and sale of the share capital of Infrastrutture Distribuzione Gas S.p.A., a company that manages gas distribution networks and plants.

The transaction would be consistent with the Company’s strategy and business plan.
