We manage a public utility infrastructure

What we do

​We manage a 72,000 km infrastructure to distribute gas in Italy, pursuing operational excellence. We are dedicated to continually enhancing the supervision of the managed infrastructures and provided service performance levels.
We are aware of the role we play in creating shared value for all those who interact with or are influenced by our Group.

We work: ​

  • applying compliance with criteria of management efficiency and economy;
  • generating positive impacts for the communities served;
  • aiming to ensure a sustainable evolution of the gas distribution infrastructure in the medium to long term. ​

Gas distribution

Gas distribution involves using an integrated infrastructure system to withdraw gas from the national transport network and deliver it to end clients of the network, both domestic and business, on behalf of authorised sales companies.

City gates

One or more points of interconnection with the national or regional natural gas transportation pipeline network, through which the distribution network is fed. At these points (City gates), delivery, filtration, preheating before pressure reduction, pressure regulation, gas metering and scenting are performed.

Pressure reduction units

The gas distribution network operates at various pressures, generally less than or equal to 5 bar, with intermediate pressure reduction units and final pressure reduction units installed.

Electronic meters

User branch systems for the delivery of gas to end users, where the gas itself is measured by electronic meters.
