Our gas emergency response service is free, available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, at the toll-free number 800.901.313, in all municipalities served by 2i Rete Gas S.p.A. and by the subsidiary Cilento Reti Gas S.r.l.
The following can be communicated to the Gas Emergency Response service:

Answer the operator's questions.
You will be asked simple questions during the interview with the operator to better understand the type and extent of the report (*). This information will allow the pertinent technical personnel to intervene in a timely manner.
Follow the safety instructions
Based on the reported event, you will be provided with appropriate safety instructions to be followed carefully for your own and others' safety.
Wait
for the technical personnel who will reach the reported site within a maximum of 60 minutes.
(*) all conversations between the caller and the switchboard operator are recorded according to the requirements of the Industry Authority.

Safety directions for one’s own protection and that of others and any other useful directions.
In the case of ascertained leakage from measuring units, it may be necessary to request CAUTIONARY CLOSURE of the intercepting devices present. Reduce all activity and avoid any action that could generate or promote ignition phenomena. Do not light matches or open flames, operate electrical switches or plugs, or ring doorbells.
In case the report comes from a company that has damaged the pipeline gas by causing a leakage it may be considered useful to ask to speak with the technicians of the company that caused the damage, in order to better verify the extent of the damage and take appropriate measures to secure the worksite. It is also considered useful to suggest that any ongoing activities be stopped and that people be prevented from approaching or stationing themselves, nearby the leak.
In the case of utility branches within of the building ask to OPEN all the direct openings to the outside, windows and French doors that are not electrically operated, in order to promote ventilation of the premises.
Do not light matches or open flames, do not operate switches or plugs electrical, do not ring doorbells.
Having to leave the premises, do not use elevators. Any further telephone calls should be avoided or made from the outside. In case of suspected leakage from group measuring unit or indoor installation OPEN all direct openings to the outside, windows and French doors that are not electrically operated, to promote ventilation of the premises while avoiding involving other condominium rooms (e.g., stairwell).
Do not light matches or open flames, operate electrical switches or plugs, or ring doorbells.
CLOSE all gas appliances by intervening, if possible, on the shut- off devices of the appliances and the general shut-off tap present in the house.
CLOSE the shut-off tap present upstream of the gas meter. Any further telephone calls must be avoided or made from the outside.
